Cooper Pharma, a medicine manufacturer and exporter, is a rare success story that came from the confidence and aspiration of a newly independent India. The story of Cooper Pharma began in 1959, when the visionary pharmacist Dr. O.S. Bhargava took it upon himself to serve humanity by starting a small manufacturing unit in Delhi to produce quality, affordable generic medicines for all.
The hard work and tireless pursuit of its founder paid off as Cooper Pharma came to be counted among the most reputed names in the pharma sector. Cooper Pharma first made its mark in the domestic market by supplying its products all across the country and then expanded globally, exporting to 30+ countries.
In 2007, a new export-oriented manufacturing facility was set up in Dehradun, capital of Uttarakhand in North India. This state-of-the-art facility helped Cooper Pharma diversify its product portfolio to a vast range covering a variety of therapeutic categories such as hypertension drugs, anti-malarial drugs, anti-diabetic drugs, gastrointestinal medicines and health supplements (See details). The dosage forms of these quality formulations include tablets, capsules and injectables.
On our illustrious journey, we have faced many roadblocks, but we overcame every obstacle and hardship with great strength and resilience. Our milestones give a glimpse of some of our achievements and accomplishments over the years.
1959–1991
Through continuous expansion, Cooper Pharma made its products available at major pharmacy chains across the country.
1991
Cooper Pharma began exporting to neighbouring Asian countries.
1991–2007
Expansion of exports, with products available in bigger markets in Asia, Africa and other regions.
2007
Cooper Pharma set up a new unit in Dehradun, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for oral solid and injectable dosage forms.
2007 Onwards
Riding high on the wave of success Cooper Pharma started development of the latest pharmaceutical formulations and expanded its market further. Our products became available in more than 30 countries as well as in leading online pharmacies.
2020
A separate, dedicated unit for soft gelatin capsules was set up in Noida.
